I am an Italian cinematographer and gaffer currently based in Prague.
I studied photography in Italy (where I worked in corporate photography and filming).
I moved to Prague, where I studied cinematography (I graduated from Prague Film School in the advanced cinematography course in 2021), and I have been working professionally in Prague ever since.
I currently work as a freelancer, I’m available to travel and work internationally.
I speak English and Italian fluently, and I have experience with managing diverse and international teams.
I have also been collaborating with film schools and universities, working as a gaffer on FAMU international projects, and conducting lighting workshops at Prague Film School and Prague Film Institute.
As a cinematographer, I closely collaborate with directors and set and costume designers to apply my technical skills and artistic intuition to find the most suitable cinematography language for a project in order to bring a story to life in a visually coherent and effective way.
I stay up to date with the latest equipment and technologies without disregarding more classical approaches or simpler solutions when they are more appropriate. I have 4 years of professional experience and I’m confident with both the analog and digital workflows. Film will always have an irreplaceable aesthetic and nostalgic value to me, but I appreciate the flexibility and possibilities that modern digital sensors allow.
My extensive experience as a gaffer has allowed me to gain practical knowledge in the use of lighting techniques developing my ability to make timely and effective decisions. My strength lies in experimenting and solving problems in creative ways to work around technical and logistical limitations. I also enjoy building my own lighting fixtures to achieve what would not be possible with conventional solutions.
